Cupping Therapy in Northern Virginia: Where to Find Us

If you have been searching for cupping therapy in Northern Virginia and keep landing on places in the wrong county, this post is the short answer: Fair Lakes, Fairfax, fourth floor.
The longer answer is about the building, because the building is the only genuinely awkward part of a first visit.
Cupping therapy in Northern Virginia: where we actually are
Inside the HAWA Fairfax Community Center, 4401 Fair Lakes Ct, Fairfax VA 22033. Main entrance, up to the fourth floor, Room 401a. By appointment only.
That is the whole address you need. The rest of this is what it looks like when you get there.
It does not look like a clinic
It is not a storefront on a high street with a sign in the window. It is a low, dark-glass building set back behind trees, just off the Fair Lakes shopping area, with a paved path curving up to the entrance.
People miss it the first time because they are looking for something that announces itself. It does not. What you are looking for is the community centre, and once you are inside the building the rest is straightforward: fourth floor, then Room 401a.
Most people find the community-centre setting settles them rather than the opposite. There are other things happening in the building. Nobody in the corridor knows or cares why you are there, which is the opposite of a waiting room where everybody can guess.
Coming in from the rest of the map
Fair Lakes sits in the middle of the map for most of the people who ask.
From Centreville and Chantilly it is a short run east. From Sterling and the Herndon side it is down the Fairfax County Parkway. From the inner suburbs - Arlington, Falls Church, McLean, Alexandria - it is out along I-66 or the Beltway and then in from the parkway, and it is the trip people most often tell us they were not expecting to be as easy as it was.
We are not going to put drive times on this page, because traffic here makes a liar out of anybody who does. Put the address into your phone the morning of your appointment, not the night before.
When you can come
Brothers: every day, 12:00 to 13:30 and again 14:00 to 15:30.
Sisters: Tuesday to Thursday, 16:00 to 18:00, and Saturday and Sunday, 17:00 to 19:00.
Both lanes are by appointment only - there are no walk-in hours, whatever a listing somewhere else may say. The two lanes run on separate calendars, so a household with two people who both want a session books two appointments rather than negotiating one.
Who you will see when you get there
A woman practitioner for sisters and a man for brothers. That is not an arrangement to be requested in advance or explained to anybody; it is simply how the practice is built, and it is the reason the sisters' hours exist as their own set of windows rather than as an overflow of the brothers'.
What to do when you arrive
Come a few minutes early rather than exactly on time. Not because anything is rushed, but because arriving out of breath is a poor start to something you want to be calm in.
Then: main entrance, fourth floor, Room 401a. You sit down and answer questions before anything is opened. After that, the room.
What it costs and how long you will be there
Wet cupping is $135. Dry cupping, which is suction only with no scratch, is $115. A $55 deposit holds the time when you book and comes off the price; the balance is paid after the session.
Set aside an hour and a half to two hours door to door. That is not two hours of cupping - it is the screening conversation first, then the session, then a few minutes of sitting and the aftercare notes. You drive yourself home afterwards and you do not need to clear the rest of the day.
If you are comparing places
One question is worth more than an evening of browsing, and it works anywhere: is every cup and every blade single-use, opened in front of you and thrown away afterwards? Then ask where the used blade goes.
It has a yes or no answer, it is not rude to ask, and a practitioner doing it properly will be glad you did.
