Hikma Hijama Cupping on Google: Read the Reviews

Hikma Hijama Cupping on Google: Read the Reviews

Do not choose where to have hijama on the strength of a clinic's own website. Including this one.

A website is written by the people who run the place. It will always describe them well. If you want to know what a practice is actually like, the better source is the people who have already been - and for us, the place they have said so is Google.

The short answer

On Google we are listed as Hikma Hijama Cupping - the same practice as hikmahealing.art, under the name Google knows us by. The reviews are there for anyone to read. Read the reviews themselves rather than the star average, and judge us on what matters to you.

Why the name is different

Hikma Healing is the name on this website. Hikma Hijama Cupping is the name on the Google listing, on Google Maps and on our Facebook Page. They are one practice, in one room, at the HAWA Fairfax Community Center at Fair Lakes. If you search either name, you should end up in the same place - and if you find a listing with a different phone number or address, it is not ours.

How to check us properly

  1. Search "Hikma Hijama Cupping" on Google, or open Google Maps and search near Fairfax.
  2. Open the reviews, not just the stars. A star rating is an average. The words are where you learn something.
  3. Read for what matters to you. If you are a sister, look for what women say about the practitioner and the room. If you are nervous about the scratches, look for what people say about how it felt. If cleanliness is your first question, look for that.
  4. Look at the dates. Recent reviews tell you about the practice as it is now.
  5. Then compare. Do the same with any other practice you are considering. You should choose on what you read, not on what anybody - us included - tells you.

What a number can and cannot tell you

A high average is good to see, and we are grateful for every review. But a number cannot tell you whether you will feel at ease, whether your questions will be answered, or whether the room will feel right to you. That is why we would rather you read than count.

It also cannot tell you anything about a result. Hijama is a Sunnah practice, not a treatment, and we do not ask anyone to review it as if it were one.

If you have been to us

A few honest lines on Google help the next person more than anything we could write here. Here is what tends to help a future sister or brother most:

  • What you were unsure about before you came, and whether that turned out to matter.
  • What surprised you - about the room, the session, the time it took.
  • Who saw you, in general terms: a woman practitioner for sisters or a man for brothers. It answers the first question many readers have.

Please write it in your own words, and please be honest - including about anything we could do better. Nothing is offered in return for a review, and nothing ever will be. A review that was paid for, in money or in a discount, is worth nothing to the person reading it.

To leave one, search "Hikma Hijama Cupping" on Google, open the listing and choose Write a review.

If you have not been yet

Read first. Then, if you have a question the reviews did not answer, ask it - message our Facebook Page or Instagram, or write to hikmahealing@gmail.com. When you are ready, book.

Sisters are seen by a woman practitioner and brothers by a man, one person at a time. Hijama is $135 and dry cupping is $115. We are inside the HAWA Fairfax Community Center, 4401 Fair Lakes Ct, Fairfax VA 22033 - Room 401a, on the fourth floor. By appointment only.

There is a longer piece on where to find us across Northern Virginia if you are coming from further away.

Hijama is a traditional practice and is not a substitute for medical care. If you are on medication, pregnant, or unsure for any reason, speak to your doctor first and say so at intake.
